STARTING SALARY: $13.68/hr ($2372/mo)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
THE STEPHENVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT is NOT currently accepting applications for the position of TELECOMMUNICATOR to fill one (1) position.
Applicants must be available to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as may be scheduled. A high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and obtain a valid driver’s license. Must pass a security/criminal history background check. The ability to operate emergency communication systems including telephone, radio, teletype, computer, etc. is required. This position pages/dispatches public safety and City personnel, monitors radio channels and responds appropriately. Candidates must be able to work effectively under pressure and in high stress situations. Experience in this field is preferred. Modified 12 hour shifts. Three (3) day weekend every other week.
