STARTING SALARY:    $2933 per month ($16.92 per hour) Police Officer 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

THE City of STEPHENVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT is currently NOT accepting applications for the position of Police Officer to fill up to two (2) positions.

Police Officer applicants must be 21 years or older and currently TCLEOSE certified, or certified prior to hire. A high school diploma or GED is required. Completion of an application and testing is required for all applicants, regardless of position applied for.

TESTING:  Testing will be held at 8:00am on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 1000 Airport Rd., Stephenville.  Testing will include completion of an obstacle course and a written test.  Please dress appropriately for the testing.  No prior study material necessary or available.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5:00 PM ON WEDNESDAY, January 13, 2010 IN ORDER TO BE ALLOWED TO TEST.

Reserve/Regular Police Officer Applicant Process:

Phase 1:

-Complete and return City application.

-Complete  written exam and complete physical agility test -

Obstacle Course and Dummy Drag

-Those with passing scores will be provided with Personal History form for Phase 2.

Phase 2:

-Applicants submit completed Personal History packet and required documents including a hand written autobiography.

Phase 3:

-Applicants undergo a comprehensive background investigation.

Phase 4:

-Oral interview with administration staff.

Phase 5:

-Conditional Job Offer

-Polygraph

-Psychological evaluation.

-Medical Evaluation.
